Rag merchants, Porte d'Asnières, Passage Trébert - 1913
In the 17th arrondissement, Atget mainly focused on the zone between the fortifications and the suburb. In 1913, when the elimination of this zone was announced, he would take a series of photographs in the narrow passages linking Paris and Levallois, such as the Cité Trébert. Here the rag merchants would park; casks could also be found in this area.
